Know exactly why yourface is puffy

Kally scores every meal for water retention, not calories — so the thing that puffed you up this morning has a name by tonight.

One plan, no free tier. Cancel any time from the App Store.

The Kally home screen: a Bloat Score of 64 out of 100, with sodium, potassium and the day's calories broken out under it.

Why it works

A bloat tracker that
measures the thing,
instead of guessing

Most trackers count calories and hope. Bloat is a fluid problem, so Kally scores the things that actually move fluid.

9

factors per day

Sodium, potassium, magnesium, meal timing, carb load, sleep and yesterday's carry-over — each scored separately, then weighed.

one daily reading

Updated the moment you log a meal, with the factor that moved it named underneath.

3

ways to log a meal

Photograph the plate, point it at a nutrition label, or type the food's name — all three land in the same day.

It won't tell you you're fine

A day it hasn't seen enough of reports as provisional and sits near your baseline, rather than printing a flawless 0 over a banana.

44Provisional

One banana logged at 7am. It has seen 12% of your day and says so.

How it works

Three steps. Ten seconds a meal.

    What are you eating?

    Chicken teriyaki bowl

    Scan the plate

Point the camera at your food or at the label. It asks what you're eating before it commits anything — you correct it once, not after.

    Watch the day move

Your Bloat Score updates with every meal, and names the factor that moved it. Sodium against your own goal, potassium against sodium, timing against your bedtime.

    Read the week back

Days line up on one strip, so a bad Thursday is obvious next to the six around it. A Sunday recap puts the week's own number on it.

Apple Health

Sleep and activity read straight from Health, because both move fluid.

Frequently asked questions

Everything worth knowing before you download it. If something is missing, the support address at the bottom reaches a person.

Is this a calorie counter?

No. It reads calories off a meal because a surplus does move fluid a little, but it is the weakest of the nine factors on purpose. What the score is built on is sodium against your goal, potassium against your sodium, magnesium, when you ate, and what yesterday left on board.

How does it know what's in my food?

A photo of the plate is read for what's on it and roughly how much, and you get asked what you're eating before anything is saved — so a correction happens once, up front. Packaged food is matched against its label or looked up by name instead of estimated.

What if I forget to log something?

The score knows how much of the day it has actually seen. When it has seen little it pulls the answer back toward a typical day and marks itself provisional, instead of reporting the flawless zero that no-data arithmetic produces.

What happens if I break my streak?

A missed day can be repaired rather than written off. You get a handful of freezes a week, and a run that does get broken is filed instead of deleted, so it can still be recovered when you come back.

Do my photos get uploaded?

Progress photos never leave your phone — they live in a device-local album that goes when the app goes. Meal photos are sent to be read for what's on the plate, and neither kind is sold or shared.

Is there a free version?

There isn't, and there's no free trial either. It's one subscription, billed weekly or yearly, cancellable from the App Store at any point.
